On March 15, 2020, I received an order from a small art collector in Tennessee, and I was amazed that, during this time of crisis, someone would be thinking about my art. I realize that, like many things, art is an important part of our lives and our culture. It heals, comforts, challenges and entertains us. Perhaps the collector was purchasing it for the first time, or perhaps she was replacing a loss, I really don’t know. But, what I do know is that through my art, I go home with each collector and my art hangs on their walls. They see me every day and in return, I feel their presence in my life. All during my 25 years in business, I have received confirmation that motivated and encouraged me through the difficult times of 911, Hurricane Katrina, and now COVID–19. I will always be an artist, but being in business is a commitment to my art, my collectors, and to the people I employ.
