"Rise Again New Orleans"

A tribute to the New Orleans we love and the family and friends we miss.

A collaboration of mother and son art and music

"The tragic events of hurricane Katrina have changed the lives of many;

from deaths of thousands and displaced families,

to the continuous search for love ones.

We can't ever forget New Orleans baby."

"The pain of Katrina was a  personal and
difficult experience for me.
It affected
my family and friends.
I love New Orleans
and
I knew I had to do something."

Rise Again New Orleans" was written
days after Hurricane
Katrina,
Today, one year later Brandyn
is ready to share it with the world.

The music is raw and he sings from his heart.

Brandyn Slade Kelley is the artist known as

G.U.T.T.A. (Get UP! Time To Achieve).

He is an aspiring songwriter

and preformer and has penned the words to the song

that may very well be the anthem for our healing.

 "Hold on, Hold on

We're gonna rise again

Beignets while the jazz plays

We'll be all right.

Essence to the Mardi Gras

Jazzfest we'll party ya'll

Gonna second line down Canal

We'll be all right

From Bourbon in the Quarter

Out to the East

Uptown down to Michoud

We miss you

Crawfish on the Lakeside

Snowballs made just right

At the Superdome watch the Saints play

And we'll be all right"
