"Serendipity or Survival," curated by Nette Forme' Thomas and Evelyn Graves, this exhibition of the works of two prominent African  American artist, Gladys Baker Grauer & Margaret Slade Kelley is in recognition & celebration of the achievements of African Americans. Both artist have received acclaim for their work form the New Jersey State Council of the Arts through fellowships & funding for their artistic endeavors. Grauer's most recent body of work addressing the plight of the homeless incorporates woven tapestries & corrugated cardboard in her painting. Kelley, who has her major work in New Orleans, has now added paintings created in reaction to Hurricane Katrina to her multitude of paintings which depict New Orleans jazz musicians.
